This video presents the basic installation and the initial priming instructions for a BERMAD 7BM pre-action valve from the time you receive it, through to the installation and initial operation.

BERMAD double interlock and single interlock pre-action valves are widely used for fire protection systems in refrigerated or freezing areas, where water needs to be kept out of the system piping in the protected area. Pre-action valves are also used in museum archives and computer rooms, where water-sensitive items are stored and extinguishing water needs to be localized to the fire source only.

It also describes the importance of installing an air maintenance device (AMD) in accordance with the NFPA guidelines. The AMD controls and maintains the correct air pressure and quality in the system.
